Finally got to see Lucy. Really amazing piece of history. Loretta was our guide, and she really told the story. When you realize the history and age of Lucy it's crazy to think she's still around. There is a narrow spiral staircase going up, so wear good shoes. Price was only $9 for a 30 to 45 min tour. I'm afraid of heights, but made my way to the top. It was overcast, but on a clear day it would be awesome. This is a great way to explore NJ history. So glad they preserved her.

1881 originally constructed and has been a fun destination spot since. An absolute must for roadside seekers. It has been up kept and restored for all to enjoy and even go in!

There’s original roadside attraction is located just south of the Atlantic City Boardwalk maybe a 10-15 minute drive well worth the visit. The gift shop is under renovations but is opened and across the street. This is where we purchased our tickets to get in for just a few dollars apiece, they have timed Tours that are guided. There is a short maybe 5 to 7 minute video about the history of the elephant. Very kid friendly Eddie anyone with any interest in Roadside attractions or quirky Lytle side quest would enjoy this. There are a few parking spots on site, but ensure you are only parking to visit the elephant. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby that do not share parking well.

Must-See for New Jersey. Oldest roadside landmark in the United States. Great history and the ability to tour inside and up to the top is priceless. Survived major storms - including Superstorm Sandy - and even condemnation in 1962.
